The Sub-Acute program is overseen by the medical director and also includes licensed nurses, physical, occupation, speech and activity therapists, clinical dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and a highly-skilled support staff. The unit is managed by an administrator and a director of nursing.

The Sub-Acute unit functions as a transitional/rehabilitation facility for patients who are no longer in need of acute hospital care but still need care and therapy to prepare them for a return home. Team members work together to help their patients’ transition back to an independent lifestyle and provide care and activities designed to further patients’ recovery and promote their social interaction. Patients receive all therapy on the unit.
